About Us
Welcome — We're So Glad You're Here
Hi there, and welcome! I'm Ryan Jancik, and I’m genuinely grateful you've found your way to our little corner of the internet. This space was created from a deeply personal belief: to get the right answers about your health, you first need to feel confident asking the right questions.
Everything we share is based on carefully reviewed health research, always double-checked by a human before publication.
Throughout my own health journey, I often felt like I was being asked to trust information without really understanding why. My goal here is to change that—for you. Think of this site as your research companion, built to help you feel informed, confident, and ready for more meaningful conversations with your doctor.
Everything we’ve built is centered around one promise: earning your trust in a better, more transparent way.
What You Can Expect from Us
We believe everyone deserves clear, trustworthy health information. That’s why our entire approach is guided by clear, powerful principles:
- Information That Meets You Where You Are. We know that sometimes you want the summary, and other times you want the details. That’s why our articles are presented in two distinct reading levels, allowing you to toggle between the "Bottom Line" and the "Deep Dive."
- Real-Time Access to the Research. Most sites give you a list of sources buried at the bottom of the page. You deserve better. That’s why important statements in our articles have inline citations linking directly to the original source. You can verify the research instantly, on your terms.
- Transparency, Every Step of the Way. Each article is backed by a public fact-check summary that reviews the accuracy of key claims and shares confidence scores—so you can see not just what we say, but why we say it.
- Empowerment Over Instruction. Great healthcare happens when patients and providers work together. Our mission is to help you walk into those conversations feeling informed, confident, and ready to advocate for yourself.
Why I Do This Work
I’m not a doctor or a nurse. I’m someone who, at a turning point in my life, was faced with a confusing medical issue. Out of necessity, I dove headfirst into medical research—and that deep dive helped me discover the key insights that led to my diagnosis: hypopituitarism.
That experience changed everything. It gave me the motivation to keep learning, and the insight to support others facing similarly complex journeys. My background in Computer Science gave me the tools to analyze data—but my experience as a patient gave me the heart and standard I hold myself to now.
I also bring almost 3 decades of experience working with local and state officials on public safety, legal advocacy, and community protection efforts. Whether helping improve policies around vulnerable populations or strengthening neighborhood-level safety, my commitment has always been to clarity, fairness, and empowering others through access to good information.
That’s what I bring to you through this site: a thoughtful, data-driven approach that values clarity, transparency, and your trust—never just a faceless stamp of approval. I write and manage this content through Jancik LLC, my home for technology, advocacy, and community work. While that site houses my broader professional portfolio, everything here is designed with a single focus: to help you feel more informed, more confident, and more empowered in your health journey.
One Last Note About This Site
All the information here is meant to help you learn and feel empowered—but it’s never a substitute for professional medical advice. Our team uses advanced research tools to assist in reviewing and summarizing medical literature, but every article is carefully reviewed by a human before it is published.
That’s why we provide clear, clickable citations throughout every article—so you can explore the original research for yourself, anytime you want.
Thank you so much for being here. I truly hope what you find on this site gives you clarity, confidence, and support on your health journey.
